周琦说：“在我的理解里，可能这种（E-10）合同就是一个类似于训练营合同，只有得到这种合同之后，你才有机会在球队面前展示自己，其他的时候可能是在一些国家队的比赛，或者国际上的一些比赛。”
“除了选秀之外，只有你得到这个机会之后，才有可能去迈进NBA的大门。这个机会不是每个人都能有的，也一定是最难的，因为你是从训练营合同，再向上一级是双向，然后才是正式合同。”
“尤其对于中国球员来讲，当拿到训练营合同一步一步往上走的时候，这条路要比选秀更难，因为你一开始就在球队当中，你的优势、劣势会在很短的时间里暴露出来，没有那么长的时间让球队去了解你。”
10月15日，布鲁克林篮网官方宣布，球队正式裁掉中国球员曾凡博，此前，曾凡博与布鲁克林篮网签下一份Exhibit 10合同，随后参加球队新赛季训练营，并随队参加在中国澳门举行的NBA中国赛。
