北京时间10月21日，距离2011年国青男篮“血书门”事件，已经过去长达14年之久。如今郭艾伦通过社媒正式回应该事件，他表示当时那件事并非是他带头，且当时根本没想过这些想法，还表示媒体是靠想象报道误导了这么多年。
根据当时的报道，在2011年国青男篮全体球员，因不堪忍受当时的国青男篮主教练范斌的打骂，从而联名写信要求篮管中心更换主教练，因为联名摁手印导致该事件被媒体形容为“国青血书门”或者“国青血书兵变”。
至于最终的处理结果是暂停范斌国青男篮主教练的职务，但不包括中国男篮助教职务，范斌改任中国男篮助教，胡卫东暂时代理国青男篮主帅一职。
郭艾伦作为当年的当事人之一，他被外界报道塑造为“带头大哥”式的人物。
据悉，2011年国青男篮“血书门”事件参与的球员有12人，分别是郭艾伦、徐韬、李慕豪、翟晓川、顾全、丁彦雨航、朱旭航、孙桐林、罗汉琛、王子瑞、鞠明欣、王璞。至于为何没有王哲林，是因为王哲林因去接受治疗和按摩，因而并未参与到联名摁手印，从而“血书”上没有他的名字。
不过如今郭艾伦在回复网友关于昔日“血书门”事件时，郭艾伦给出澄清发言：“当年国青那件事，不是我带头的。当年根本没想过这些想法，试想一下当时发生的事，外界也没亲眼目睹过程，怎么就知道咋回事？靠自己想象报道，就误导了这么多年，不过不重要了。”
